1. Purchases
1.1 Pricing
All prices shown on the Site are in pounds sterling (GBP) unless stated otherwise. Prices exclude delivery charges and any applicable taxes or duties, which (where applicable) are shown at checkout.
We do our best to ensure pricing information is accurate. However, if a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or otherwise, we may cancel or refuse to process any order placed for that product and refund any amounts already paid.
We may update prices from time to time. If you have a subscription, any price change will apply no earlier than the next billing cycle after we have notified you (unless a longer notice period is required by law).
1.2 Product Orders
You may place an order for products offered for sale on the Site for your personal use. Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, you may not purchase products for resale.
To ensure quality and fairness for all our customers, we reserve the right to limit order quantities or decline orders in exceptional circumstances (such as suspected fraud, unusual ordering patterns, or product availability constraints).
1.3 Payments
We accept the following payment methods (each, an Accepted Payment Method):
Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
Apple Pay
Google Pay
PayPal
Your payment is processed securely by our payment service providers. Your relationship with those providers is governed by their terms and conditions.
By providing payment information, you confirm that: (i) the payment information you provide is true and accurate; (ii) you are authorised to use the payment method; and (iii) you authorise us (and our payment processors) to charge the total amount shown at checkout, including delivery charges and applicable taxes or duties.
If your payment is reversed or charged back, you remain responsible for the outstanding balance and any reasonable costs we incur in collecting the payment, to the extent permitted by law.
1.4 Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription, it will renew automatically at the frequency shown at checkout (typically monthly) unless you cancel. You will receive a reminder email before each renewal.
You can cancel a subscription at any time via your account area on the Site or by contacting us through www.amerocoffee.com/get-in-touch. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless we state otherwise for a particular subscription.
By starting a subscription, you authorise us to charge your Accepted Payment Method at each renewal without needing renewed permission each time.
2. Changes to Payment Methods and Account Information
You are responsible for ensuring that your account details (including billing and delivery details) are accurate and up to date. You can update these details via your account area on the Site.
If your payment method expires or becomes invalid, and you do not update your information in time, we may attempt to charge the payment method we have on record. If that fails, your order or subscription may be paused or cancelled, and you remain responsible for any amounts owed.
3. Taxes and Duties
Where we are required by law, we will charge and collect VAT or other applicable taxes based on the delivery destination and the information available at checkout. Any estimate shown at checkout may change once the order is finalised or dispatched.
If we are not required to collect certain taxes or duties, you are responsible for determining and paying any taxes, duties or similar charges that apply to your purchase.
4. Delivery
4.1 Delivery Charges and Timing
Delivery charges and delivery options are shown at checkout. We currently ship within the United Kingdom only.
Your coffee is roasted to order within 2-3 business days of your order being placed, ensuring peak freshness. Once roasted and packed, your order is dispatched and typically arrives within 2-3 business days via our courier partners (Royal Mail or DPD).
Please allow up to 5-7 business days in total from order to delivery. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the carrier, destination, and seasonal demand.
If we expect a material delay, we will contact you using the details in your order. You will receive tracking information once your order has been dispatched.
4.2 Delivery Address
You are responsible for providing a valid delivery address and for ensuring someone is available to receive the delivery where required.
If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, you may be responsible for additional delivery charges to resend the order.
4.3 Risk and Title
Your coffee becomes your responsibility once delivered to the address you provided. We trust you'll savour it within 30 days of the roast date for optimal flavour.
Title to the products passes to you once we have received payment in full.
5. Returns and Refunds
5.1 Perishable Products (Coffee)
Because coffee is a perishable product roasted specifically for your order, we do not accept returns for change of mind once the product has been dispatched, except where required by law.
If your order arrives damaged, incorrect or with a quality defect, please see the sections below for our two service options.
5.1.1 Quality Assurance Policy
If your coffee arrives damaged, incorrect or presents a quality defect, contact us within 7 calendar days following delivery via www.amerocoffee.com/get-in-touch or clients@amero-act.com.
Please include your order number and, if possible, a photo of the product or packaging to help us quickly identify the issue.
Our team will evaluate your request within 48 business hours. If the defect is confirmed, we will offer you either a free replacement or full refund.
5.2 Non-perishable Products
If we sell non-perishable items (such as equipment or accessories), we will specify the applicable return conditions at the time of purchase.
Unless stated otherwise, items must be unused, in their original packaging, and returned within 30 days of delivery. Please contact us via www.amerocoffee.com/get-in-touch to arrange a return.
5.3 Refund Method and Timing
Approved refunds will be made to your original payment method where possible. Refund processing times depend on your bank or payment provider but typically occur within 5-10 business days after approval.
6. Promotions and Promotional Codes
From time to time we may offer promotions or promotional codes. Any promotion will be subject to the specific terms presented at the time of issue.
Unless stated otherwise, promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be applied retroactively to previous orders.
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or suspend promotions where we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse, or a technical error.
7. Bulk Orders and Business-to-Business Sales
For bulk orders, wholesale purchases, or business-to-business enquiries (including green coffee, roasted coffee in volume, or partnerships), please contact clients@amero-act.com.
Bulk and B2B sales may be governed by separate written terms (including pricing, minimum order quantities, delivery terms, and payment terms) which will prevail over these Commercial Terms for the relevant transaction.
8. Liability
Nothing in these Commercial Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses (including loss of profits, loss of business, or loss of opportunity).
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with a Commercial Transaction will be limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order, except where a different limit is required by law.
9. Events Outside Our Control
We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, carrier disruptions, industrial action, or supply chain interruptions. Where possible, we will keep you updated and work to minimise the impact.
10. Changes to These Commercial Terms
We may update these Commercial Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your purchase is the version in effect on the date you place your order. We will notify you of material changes where required by law.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Commercial Terms and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with them or any Commercial Transaction are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Commercial Terms or any Commercial Transaction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
